Initial Idea
This project started when my friend Harry Robinson and I wanted to create a clock-themed puzzle for an escape room. We quickly decided that the hands should be individually controlled to create some unique puzzles, but as we worked more on the project the goal slowly became to make a cool looking clock.
CAD
We wanted to create a blend of minimalism and steam punk, two traditionally very different design styles. We decided on powering the clock with a large (slightly uneccessary, but cool looking) array of gears with lattice points held together by splines.
